Some questions about the coroplast signs on online
Q: On the 18" x 24" coroplast sign do the flutes run horizontally/parallel with the 24" so I can put the signup Portrait or vertically through the 18" side?
A: Yes, they do run parallel with the 24-inch side.
Q: Is the corrugated plastic sign front surface smooth to the touch or can you feel the flutes?
A: The corrugated plastic signs are subtle ridges on the smooth surface. I used these to mount large images on and the slight ripples in the surface were not very visible unless you were right up close and looking for it. I mostly am aware of them from when I was smoothing the wet mount adhesive I was placing on coroplast board. You could feel the little ridges as I slid over them with a squeegee.
Q: Can waterproof paint be applied to these corflute signs? Do both sides have the same texture?
A: Yes! We print coroplast sign on ours with a UV Printer, use liquid chalk pens and all types of paint. Some paints you can clean off and some you cannot.
Q: Would this corrugated plastic sheet be okay for underhood auto applications? I have a hood scoop for which I wish to build a block off plate and I'm thinking of this.
A: I doubt it. This plastic is like the corrugated plastic used to make signs (the type people put in their yards during campaigns) and would melt under extreme heat.
Q: can I cut this coroplast sheet with a facto knife?
A: Any sharp knife with a handle preferred. But if you want to cut the pp hollow board too much or too thick, you can hand over the work to the corrugated plastic suppliers, they will be happy to help you.
Q: How do these corrugated plastic sheet piece together ?
A: These do NOT clip together or connect like a puzzle. They are individual coroplast pieces. You can tape them together if you want? If you need a specific size, you can look for corrugated supplier customization. Am is not sure your application so it is hard to suggest a solution. They also fit into H style sign frames if you wanted to use them for signs.
Q: How to cut coroplast sheet?
A: Certainly a utility knife but even a sharp large scissor will work. The consistency is similar to cardboard but with sharper edges (not dangerously so, though).
Q: How thick are this corflute signs?
A: The thickness of the corrugated plastic sign can be customized according to your needs, and the customizable range is between 2mm-12mm.
Q: Would I be able to spray paint this coroplast sign with chalkboard spray paint without it flaking, becoming too saturated?
A: Yes, the coroplast sign will require multiple coats with time to dry in-between. Works well with liquid chalk & regular sidewalk chalk after 2nd coat.
Q: Can I get one ton? What would be the price?
A: You can choose to customize the coroplast from China corrugated plastics manufacturers, the price will be much cheaper, the specific price should be based on actual needs.
Q: Want these to use as fan coroplast signs, will acrylic paint stick/be durable?
A: Permanent marker works well on them I'm not sure about acrylic paint.
I hope my answer can help you.
